I love that all Phish’s tour announcements get these fun little videos now. And if you can’t laugh at Fishman, who can you laugh at. Berkeley me please.
Phish’s Trey Anastasio’s Most Amazing Show: Big Cypress Midnight Dawn
“You’ve been through an adventure.”
I was there. That’s an understatement.
“It’s special marshmallow.”
Good interview with Trey.
Ben & Jerry’s would advise us—like, we almost put raspberry in it, too. Fish [Jon Fishman, Phish’s drummer] wanted raspberry in it. It was too much; it was almost vile [emphasis added, because I thought it was funny.—BC]. So they didn’t let the raspberry stay in it. It was supposed to be rocky road with no nuts. And then the marshmallow thing was really cool because we got to go into the factory and watch them design the marshmallow. They had this special machine with a pole that tested the density of the marshmallow by poking a hole into it. It’s very scientific. That’s not just any old marshmallow in there. It’s special marshmallow.
Phish’s “Backwards Down The Number Line” is now available on iTunes. I can’t get enough of this song. I absolutely love the sentiment here, especially considering the past few years in their lives. I also dig the look of the art for the single.

Can I blog from the concert field? Bring a computer inside?
Sure, but if something happens to your computer, that’s on you, nerd. We assume no responsibility for lost or damaged Twitter machines. #phishwebsitejokes
NYT on the Phish reunion
“For people in hard times, we can play long shows of pure physical pleasure,” Mr. Anastasio said. “They come to dance and forget their troubles. It’s like a service commitment.”
