I spent some time earlier updating the new NetNewsWire beta, syncing with Google Reader, and re-organizing/cleaning up/creating new folders for all of my feeds. So far so good. I love the idea of syncing with Google Reader. I had held off because I had finally gotten NNW and NNW mobile to where I wanted them. I had about 10% of my overall feeds going to the iPhone, and it was working great. I was hesitant to move away from that because the current NNW mobile didn’t sync with Google Reader yet.

Still, I think the switch was worth it. I’ve always liked the mobile version of Google Reader. As my friend Brian suggested, I may organize the folders into ones that are easy to navigate for mobile-only reading. Or I may just deal with it for a while. I believe the next version of NNW mobile will sync with Google Reader, and hopefully will allow me to again send only certain feeds to the phone.

Best of all, I’m happy to have the new icon in my dock. It looks real good. Fingers crossed the new NNW mobile has a similarly improved icon as well.
