Marco.org: Kindle 3 first impressions
Great review. Just what I was looking for. I’m actually excited for the Wi-Fi only version. With the 3G, the battery drains noticeably faster, and as a result I almost always keep it off. I love the idea of Whispersync to keep the Kindle in sync when reading on the Kindle app on the iPad/iPhone, but with 3G off, Whispersync rarely runs. I imagine that I would keep the Wi-Fi on all the time with the Kindle 3, and the syncing would happen automatically. That’s worth it for me right there.
Also, the padded envelope is a great tip. Marco’s always got the good ones.
